CCCAA Women's Soccer Scoreboard
OCEANSIDE - The MiraCosta women's soccer team started with big energy and finished the game against San Bernardino Valley College by a final score of 2-0. Mandy Lara got the Spartans going early when she scored in the 4th minute. Later in the first half Giselle Garcia scored MiraCosta's second goal of the game. Katy King dominated the middle of the field while MiraCosta's forwards kept the pressure on the visiting team for 90 minutes.
Anchored by goalkeeper Tristyn Wright and defensive players Myla McKeague, Casey Martinez, and Emily Rivera, the Spartans finished with a clean sheet. Late in the game San Bernardino created opportunities to score but Wright denied them with her great timing.
The women's soccer team is next in action on Wednesday at Mt. San Antonio College.
