Palomar returns to the top in final rankings
LOS ANGELES, Calif – In the final rendition of the 3CFCA State Rankings with regular season play set to close on Thursday, April 24, No. 1 Palomar leaps West Valley to take the top spot.
The Comets wrapped up their season with an 11-game winning streak to close out a perfect 15-0 record in the Pacific Coast Conference. They were led by Breanna Lutz, one of the state’s best hitters, who led the PCC in batting average at .571 with nine homers and 54 RBI.
No. 2 West Valley and No. 3 San Mateo stay huddled together in the top of the north. The Coast Conference duo finished the season with a combined record of 72-6.
No. 18 Hartnell makes its first appearance in the top 20 after, arguably, the best pitching week of the 2025 season. Two-time 3CFCA Pitcher of the Week tossed a perfect game to beat No. 12 San Jose City April 15. Two days later, Hoover beat No. 2 West Valley, helping the Panthers close the season with a 11-3 Coast Conference record.
