Bakersfield College to host eight-team battle for the 2022 CCCAA Softball Championship

BAKERSFIELD - The teams have qualified, the fields are prepped, and eight squads are ready to compete for the 2022 CCCAA Softball Championship beginning Thursday, May 19 and running through Sunday, May 22 at Bakersfield College and North High School. The College of San Mateo, Butte College, Sierra College, and San Jose City College will represent Northern California and Mt. San Antonio College, Cypress College, Santa Ana College, and Santiago Canyon College represent Southern California.
The tournament opens with four first-round games on Thursday at Bakersfield College. A pair of elimination games will take place at nearby North High School on Friday with all remaining games on the weekend back at Bakersfield's beautiful facility. Tickets for the tournament are available here. This week's tournament is the first softball championship for the CCCAA since 2019 and the competition will feature some traditional participants along with some newer programs. All games will be streamed on the CCCAA and BAOSN.TV and are available on a variety of outlets. Here are thumbnail previews of each of the teams.
