Cuyamaca's Fairman Tops Podium at SoCal Multis
Women's SoCal Heptathlon Results
San Luis Obispo, Calif. - Sophomore Makayla Fairman boosted Cuyamaca College to an early lead in the SoCal Track and Field Championships standings, taking the SoCal Regional Heptathlon title on Wednesday.
Fairman scored a personal best 4225, with San Diego Mesa's sophomore Emily Pesch coming in second with a score of 4137, also a personal best. Fairman finished second in four events (100 meter hurdles, high jump, 200 meters, and 800 meters), while Pesch took the individual title in the 100 meter hurdles and high jump.
Moorpark freshman Madison Thai rounded out the top three with a best 3953.
The NorCal Regional Multis will take place on April 7-8 at Hartnell College with full regional championship action picking back up with the NorCal Championship Trials on May 1 at Santa Rosa Junior College and SoCal Championship Trials on May 2 at Bakersfield College.
