Santa Rosa continues at #1, several clinch conference titles on State Baseball Top 25
(LOS ANGELES) -- Santa Rosa Junior College received 19 of 20 first-place votes in keeping a stranglehold on the state's #1 spot as a number of teams have clinched conference titles on this week's 2025 California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) State Baseball Top 25 poll.
SRJC (35-1) is on a 15-game win streak and clinched the Big 8 Conference title, it's second in the last three seasons but first solo championship since 2016.
Cypress (30-7) received the other first-place vote from sports information professionals as the Chargers have vaulted into the #2 spot and top rank for a SoCal team. On an 11-game win string, Cypress clinched its first Orange Empire Conference title in 16 years in sweeping a 3-game set v. Orange Coast last week.
At #3, Mt. San Antonio (32-5) clinched the South Coast Conference championship, its first in three years but first sole title v. the entire SCC (split into divisions from 2017-2019) in 12 years. The Mounties swept Pasadena City last week and have won seven in a row.
Ranked #4, Fresno City (29-7) easily clinched its fourth consecutive Central Valley Conference crown and 27th in the last 36 seasons. The Rams are 20-1 in conference play.
West Valley (30-8) jumped five spots to #5 as the Vikings have won back-to-back Coast Conference South Division championship. Winners of six straight, the Vikings used a 3-game sweep over closest rival and #11 Ohlone April 8-12 as their catalyst to the title.
Number 6 rated Palomar (27-10) can clinch the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference crown with at least one win in its finale 3-game series v. Imperial Valley this week.
Cerritos fell three spots to No. 7 while #8 Skyline is in a 3-way dogfight for the Coast North title with #17 Chabot and #24 San Mateo. Skyline is 14-4 tied with the Gladiators while CSM is just one game back. Each has two conference games left on the schedule.
Feather River climbed four positions on to the top 10 at #9 as the Golden Eagles clinched their second Golden Valley Conference title in a row and 15th since 2008.
Santa Ana dropped five of its last six games and fell four spots to #10. On a 10-game win streak, Chaffey leaped five ratings to #12 and captured its third consecutive Inland Empire Athletic Conference championship.
Riverside City rolls in at #13 followed by Glendale at #14 as the Vaqueros reclaimed the Western State Conference South Division crown after LA Valley won last year.
At #19, Marin is 16-2 to lead a tight 3-way race for the Bay Valley Conference title with new #25 Laney and unranked Los Medanos, both one game back at 15-3.
Santa Barbara City bolted back on to the rankings at #23 this week and is trying to hold off Cuesta and LA Pierce for the Western State Conference North Division championship. The Vaqueros are 15-6, the Cougars 15-7 and the Brahmas right behind at 14-7.
Sierra dropped four spots to #15, Grossmont held on to the #16 slot, and El Camino jetted up four positions to #18. The other top 25 sqauds include #20 Saddleback, #21 Butte, and #22 Folsom Lake.
The North kept its edge in ranked teams, 13-12.
