The reigning CCCAA Champions look to defend their title
SACRAMENTO — The defending 2022 CCCAA Softball Champions College of San Mateo opens the season as the top team in the 2023 Preseason California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) poll. The Bulldogs rolled on their way to their first-ever state title with a 44-4 overall record.
Mt. San Antonio College opens the season as the No. 2 team in the state and the top team in the South Region. The Mounties, who will host this year's state tournament, will look to capture their seventh state title in 2023. This season starts with a bang as San Mateo and Mt. SAC face off tomorrow on opening day.
No. 3 Cypress and No. 4 San Jose City look to make a repeat trip to the postseason after both squads qualified for last year's state tournament.

No. 6 Palomar, No. 7 Santiago Canyon, and No. 8 Butte follow next in the rankings. The Butte Roadrunners look for redemption this season after they entered the 2022 tournament with a more than impressive 43-1 record before dropping their final two games.
