Meagan Wells and Samantha Dean smashed first inning home runs over the left field fence as College of San Mateo began a softball doubleheader shutout sweep of Reedley, 12-0, and Shasta, 10-0, in mercy rule games Saturday. That completed a perfect 3-0 week for the state top-ranked Lady Bulldogs (16-2). The most significant win was a 5-0 blanking of Big 8 Conference leader San Joaquin Delta on Thursday.
