Ensing elevated to 3C2A Director of Events and Operations
SACRAMENTO – Rebecca Ensing, a valued member of the 3C2A state office since 2022, has been elevated to the new role of Director of Events and Operations, it was announced by Executive Director Jennifer Cardone on Monday.
In her new role, Ensing will assume a leadership position within the 3C2A office with strategic oversight of 3C2A events, operations and partnerships. She will continue to oversee the planning and execution of the annual 3C2A Convention, Fall Conference and management of all social media platforms. Ensing will also continue to assist with association branding efforts, state championship coverage and other state office operations. Additionally, the former 3C2A student-athlete will add key sponsorship responsibilities including contract activation, partnership fulfillment, and branding visibility.
“Rebecca has proven herself to be an integral part of our team during her nearly three years with us,” Cardone said. “Her new position reflects her value, contributions and skills which all greatly benefit our association. I’ve seen tremendous growth in her abilities and am excited to elevate her to an even greater role with the 3C2A.”
Ensing joined the 3C2A in 2022 with primary responsibilities surrounding the convention and Fall Conference. The convention has grown in both content and presentation during her tenure and has received positive feedback from attendees. She also assisted with the re-branding efforts and played an integral role in the redesign of the official 3C2A website.
Ensing was selected last December to the College Sports Communicators 30 Under 30 Class which recognizes emerging athletics communications professionals at all levels of college sports in strategic, creative and digital spaces.
“At the heart of everything we do are our student-athletes, and I’m committed to contributing to the mission of elevating, celebrating, and supporting them, “ Ensing said. “I’m honored to step into this new role and to continue to lead alongside my colleagues.”
Ensing’s new role was effective July 1.
