Cerritos' Romero & Citrus' Nichols Earn CCCWPCA Week Eight Players of the Week Honors

Nichols was the top goal scorer in the state this past week by humming home 27 goals while adding nine assists into his offensive melee. He did it on both ends of the pool highlighted by a state-leading 19 steals as well. He score six or more goals in four out of five games this past week highlighted by a seven-goal outburst in a win over Crafton Hills. Nichols currently ranks top-25 in the state with 99 goals and top-25 in the state with 46 assists.

Romero led her team to a pair of big wins over the past week's play by scoring 16 goals to lead the state. She added in 10 drawn ejection and dished out five assists. Furthermore, she tallied nine steals. In three games, she score five or more goals highlighted by a six goal outburst against No. 4 Santa Barbara.
