CCCAA Women's Volleyball: Standings l Scoreboard l Rankings (Oct. 9)
ORANGE, Calif. - Irvine Valley's women's volleyball team rolled over another Orange Empire Conference opponent on Friday night.
The Lasers defeated Santiago Canyon, 25-14, 25-11, 25-14, on the road for their fourth sweep in a row and 11th in 13 matches.
Irvine Valley, ranked No. 1 in the state, stayed undefeated on the year with a record of 13-0. IVC is 7-0 in conference.
The Lasers hit .427 on the night and were led by sophomore outside hitter Taira Ka'awaloa with 17 kills and 14 digs. She hit an impressive .696 on the night.
Sophomore outside hitter Olivia Aguilar ended with 12 kills and 12 digs and sophomore opposite Diamond Brogan had five kills and hit .556.
Freshman defensive specialist Renata Bath added seven digs, sophomore libero Gabi Lau had four digs and sophomore setter Megan Ramseyerfinished with 34 assists and three digs.
Irvine Valley has a bye on Wednesday and hosts Orange Coast in a conference match on Friday at 6 p.m.
