Regular season play has ended and the eight Northern California and eight Southern California baseball regional sites and 48 teams have been selected, announced Sunday. 

The three-team, double-elimination format will begin with the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds facing off on Friday, May 1 at 11 a.m. The No. 1 seed of each site will take the field later in the day at 3 p.m.

In SoCal, Palomar is the overall No. 1, while Santa Ana, El Camino, Riverside, Allan Hancock, Glendale, Citrus, and Desert round out the top eight. And in NorCal, Fresno nabbed the top spot with Ohlone, Modesto, San Joaquin Delta, Feather River, College of Marin, Chabot, and Skyline all set to host.

Postseason play will continue on with the Super Regional round May 7-9 followed by the Regional Finals May 15-17. The top two teams from each region will then advance to the 3C2A State Championships at Great Park in Irvine on May 23-25.
