Orange Coast captures Orange Empire Conference women's swim and dive title

MISSION VIEJO - The Orange Coast Pirates won the 2025 Orange Empire Conference title on Saturday at Saddleback College.  The Pirates held off Riverside City College and now head to the 3C2A State Finals as one of the favorites for a state title.

The Orange Empire Conference (OEC) is consistently one of the top swim conferences in the state and when winning the conference crown, it generally means the team is set to make a run at a state title.  The OEC has won eight state titles since 2010, and 26 total titles since the sport was introduced in 1978.  Orange Coast has been a dominant force since the beginning, winning 21 state championships.

Orange Coast captured the 2025 conference title with 12 individual wins and four relay wins in the pool.  The Pirates kept Riverside City at arm’s length after leading by 97 points heading in the finals on Saturday.  The Tigers made a late charge when finishing 1-2-3 in the 200 Butterfly, but it was too little too late as Orange Coast had built up a big lead.

Orange Coast’s Rylie Fox and Kylie Kawai along with Saddleback’s Julia Reid were all named the Swimmers-of-the-Meet after capturing three events apiece.  OCC’s Madeline Kwok was named the Diver-of-the-Meet.
