Pierson, Gregory Named 3CFCA Players of the Week

AZUSA, CA — Fresno City's Kindall Pierson and Golden West's Brooklyn Gregory have been named the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches (3CFCA) Players of the Week.

Pierson led the Rams to a 3-0 start to the season, making an appearance in each win. Her most significant game of the stretch came in an 11-0 win over Oholone where the freshman tossed her first career no-hitter striking out four batters in the process. She also halted a comeback attempt by Cuesta College when stepped into the circle in relief and guided the Rams to an 8-7 win.

Pierson finished the week 2-0 with a 0.62 ERA, nine strikeouts, and just one earned run.

Gregory put on a show offensively to lead Golden West to a 3-0 week. The outfielder totaled eight RBIs with a .600 batting average, two triples, six hits, and four runs. She was also a menace on the basepath swiping four bags in as many attempts.  

She made her mark in an 18-0 win over Cerro Coso when she went a perfect 4-4 at the plate with six RBIs, two runs, and a stolen base.
