CSM EXTENDS HOME STREAK TO 43 GAMES, 6-4 OVER AMERICAN RIVER

SAN MATEO – After compiling a 9-1 non-league record, state top-ranked College of San Mateo opens defense of its Coast North Conference softball title Tuesday afternoon (Feb. 16), hosting De Anza College (0-8) at 3 p.m. CSM extended its 2-year home winning streak to 43 games with a 4-game sweep of weekend games. The Bulldogs blanked Feather River twice on Friday (by a 20-0 margin) in a pair of 5-inning mercy-rule games, winning 8-0 and 12-0. On Saturday San Mateo gave College of the Redwoods it first loss of the season, 9-1, and then defeated American River, 6-4. It was only the second loss for American River (7-2).
