Falcon Golfers Back on Winning Track

With ideal weather and the opportunity to play on their home course, the FLC golf team shot their lowest team score in over two months as they won Big 8 Tournament #11 yesterday at Rancho Murieta Country Club. With all six players shooting in the 70's, the Falcons shot 375 as they defeated Big 8 leader Santa Rosa by 8 strokes. Freshman sensation Chad VanderDussen continued his outstanding season with a round of 72 (par), just one stroke behind yesterday's low medalist. With just one Big 8 tournament remaining, the Falcons have no chance to overtake Santa Rosa for the title, but their improved team scoring bodes well for the postseason. "This was really good for the guys and good for our momentum going into NorCals," noted head coach Barry Zarecky.
