The Vikings fell Friday to Delta College, 2-0. This game was much closer than the score might indicate.
Following a first half goal by Delta's Rachel Sianez off a corner kick, the Vikings mounted a fierce fight for an equalizer. The Vikings pressured Delta repeatedly with attacks from Hannah Harris & Julia Curran but came up empty thanks to strong goalkeeping by Amanda Simonich. Having deniced DVC the "treat", Delta finished their "trick" on Hallow's Eve with 15 minutes remaining, adding a second goal through Vanessa Haro on just their third shot on goal.
The Vikings loss gives Delta new life in their fight for a playoff berth and puts DVC on the vert edge of those positions with three matches remaining in the regular season.
