The San Diego Mesa College men's basketball team is off to a solid start with a 4-2 overall record. The Olympians on Wednesday took down previously unbeaten El Camino College 87-72. The Olympians were led by sophomore Jaiden Pate who scored 33 points. Pate was 9-15 from the field and was perfect at the free throw line going 14-14. Sophomore guard Daron Taylor also turned in a fantastic performance with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 3-8 from the three-point line.

The team will host LA Harbor College on Friday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
