COMING UP SHORT: Fullerton College came close to derailing Riverside City College at home Friday night falling to the Tigers 48-44.

FC went up early 7-1 and held the lead over RCC until the 2:03 mark when Neka Hunter scored two on a layup giving RCC an 18-17 lead. The Tigers led at the end of the half 20-17.

In the second half, Riverside held on to a narrow lead as Fullerton kept within 6 points.

The Hornets made their big push with 41 seconds left when Laura Curiel hit a big three-pointer to put FC within two at 44-42.

RCC sealed the game with two seconds left on a pair of Hunter's free throws giving the Tigers the win. Scroll down for the complete stats.

Amber Washington scored 12 points with 9 rebounds. Andrya Ventura dropped in 12 points as well.  Laura Curiel had 8 points and Irma Urzua had 7 rebounds.
