Freshman setter Ambria Schneringer put up big numbers in the Pirate's win against the Sac City Panther. Scherninger's career first triple double: 10 kills, 27 assists, 11 digs. 

Pirates started the match finding it hard to get a rhythm. The Panthers came out loud and in control, winning set 1 25-23.

The Pirates regrouped for set 2, hitting .235% and serving 4 aces. Set 2 was a back and forth battle with the Pirates fighting off 2 set points. 

Set 3 saw the Pirates jump out to an early 5-1 lead behind the tough serving of Denae Finney. Scherninger went 4 kills on 4 attempts to give the Pirates the extra push they needed to win the set.

Set 4 started just as close as set 2. Three Pirates hit for .500% (Opp Faith Mamae 4-8-0, MB Sara Gonzalez 2-4-0, and MB Rhiannon Genilla 1-2-0). As a team, the Pirates had their best hitting percentage with 13 kills on 43 attempts with 3 errors.
