The FC baseball team hosted Grossmont College on Tuesday afternoon and lost 4-2 to the Griffins in their home opener.

The Griffins scored the game's first run on a wild pitch allowing Michael Diffley to score.

Fullerton matched Grossmont in the third scoring on a wild pitch giving Ryan Aguirre a chance to score from third.

Grossmont did most of their damage in the fifth opening up with a solo home run by David Maldonado that cleared the left field ivy. Diffley and Nico Navarro both scored on a double by Noah Strohl and a 4-3 out by Cabot Van Til.

The Hornets added a run in the eighth on a 6-3 putout giving Joey Parente a path to home from third.
