MOORPARK - The wait is over. Community college athletics is back.

The Moorpark women's soccer team returned to action in dominating style with a 4-0 home-opening victory over Imperial Valley at Arroyo Community Park Friday afternoon.

The Raiders were led by Riley Tripp's two goals, both assisted by Megan Shaffer. Lillian Nice and Skylar Rusch each added a goal.

Tripp found the back of the net in the 22nd minute to take a 1-0 lead into halftime before Nice and Tripp's second goal came within four minutes each other to start the second half, coming in the 54th and 58th minute, respectively.

Rusch added the final goal for insurance in the 67th minute.

Arroyo Community Park is being used as a home field while the on-campus field is under construction.

Moorpark will host its second match of the season against Cerro Coso on Aug. 31 at 2 p.m.
