The Pasadena City College men's basketball team hosts the 5th annual Skip Robinson Classic Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 17-19 at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

PCC hosts the 6-team, 9-game round-robin event that features local freeway rival Glendale, LA Pierce, Antelope Valley, South Coast Conference rival Mt. San Antonio and Barstow.

The Robinson event is named after former athletic director Skip Robinson, a member of the PCC Sports Hall of Fame and a 2-time state champion track and field coach. Robinson continues to be one of the college's most active alumni.

The Lancers (1-3) are coming off a 75-55 loss to pre-season #3-ranked Citrus in the team's home opener on Saturday evening. In that defeat, PCC fell behind 17-6, went on a 9-0 run to slice the deficit to two and when Jayden Winfrey sank a 3-pointer with 5:55 left in the first half, the lead had shrunk to one, 24-23.

However, Citrus went on an 11-3 run to lead 35-26 into hafltime. The Owls never let the Lancers back into the game. For Pasadena, Jonathan Tchengang was the only Lancer to reach double digits in scoring with 10 points. Jordan Flowers (three steals) and Winfrey (eight rebounds) each scored nine points and Nigel Wilson contributed eight points.

Shant Chenorhavorian added five points and four steals while Myles Watkins tallied six points.

For Citrus, Anthony Tello led the way with 21 points as the Owls outrebounded PCC, 46-28.
