Men's Soccer Dominates Glendale, 4-0
After scoring only three goals in its last four matches, the College of the Canyons men’s soccer team exploded for four goals en route to a 4-0 win over Glendale College on Friday afternoon at COC’s Upper Field.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - After scoring only three goals in its last four matches, the College of the Canyons men's soccer team exploded for four goals en route to a 4-0 win over Glendale College on Friday afternoon at COC's Upper Field. The win improves the Cougars record to 4-6-3 overall and 4-4-1 in conference play.
COC's four goals are the most it has scored this season.
Freshman Philip Boscacci struck first, scoring in the 38th minute from 23-yards out.
COC continued to control possession in the second half as goalie Miguel Lopez sent a long ball to Giancarlo Gamboa who went one-on-one with the Glendale keeper and scored in the 65th minute.
Miguel Ramirez notched his own goal after two other Cougar's had shots on goal. Ramirez grabbed the rebound slipped the ball past the keeper to the left bottom corner. The Cougars didn't back down and bumped their lead to 4-0 less than three minutes later when sophomore Angel Sandoval sent a cross to freshman Miguel Magana for the goal.
Canyons outshot the Vaqueros 29-6 and 16-4 on shots on target.
Freshman Steven Rodriguez and Miguel Lopez split equal time in goal. Rodriguez notched two saves and Lopez had one save.
The Cougars will return to action Tuesday, Oct. 22 as they travel to Santa Barbara College for a 7:30 p.m. match.
