Bayne Posts Triple-Double in Dominating Victory at LA Pierce

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. - Jayci Bayne led the way for the Allan Hancock College women's basketball program with a triple-double en route to a 62-24 victory over LA Pierce College on Wednesday evening. | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs (10-8, 2-1 WSC) held a wire-to-wire lead after opening the contest with a strong 17-8 quarter and boasting a 23 point advantage at the intermission. Coach Nerelli's squad cruised to victory with a strong second half after outscoring the Brahmas (1-10, 0-6 WSC) by 15 in the final two quarters. As a team, AHC shot just under 47 percent from the field and nearly tied a season-high with 26 assists. 

Bayne notched 18 points, 10 steals, and 10 assists in the triple-double showing. Kayla Taylor and Jewelia Maniss also finished in double figures with 16 and 12 points, respectively. Carlissa Solorio led the team in the rebounding column after grabbing eight boards, while Taylor posted a team-best of three blocks.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, January 29th, with a trip to Moorpark College.
