No. 13 Las Positas unbeaten streak snapped by No. 2 Hartnell

In a match up of two of the top teams in the Coast Conference as well as the state, the No. 13 state-ranked Las Positas College men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to No. 2 Hartnell College on Tuesday.

The loss snapped the Hawks' six-game unbeaten streak. Prior to today, LPC's last loss came on Sept. 2 to Feather River College. Las Positas is now 6-2-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the Coast Conference while Hartnell moved to 9-1 and 2-1.

Hartnell took an early lead with a goal in the 16th minute. The LPC defense was able to limit the damage and keep the Hawks in the game. The score remained 1-0 all the way until the 61st minute. Hartnell sealed its win with a final goal in the 67th.

Garrett Aslup and Miguel Cortez spent even time in goal for LPC.

Las Positas will look to get back on track on Friday (Oct. 8) when the Hawks host Skyline College in a Coast Conference game.
