Nabil Mardini, the architect of three consecutive CCCAA state titles from 2010-2012, reached milestone win No. 400 in his head coaching career at Pierce College with the Brahmas sweep over Santa Monica College.
Mardini's Pierce team is currently No. 2 in the State Top 25 rankings behind only Grossmont.
The team celebrated by throwing confetti on the court at the conclusion of the match.
"It means I've been here for a long time," Mardini said. "I appreciate what the girls did. It means a lot to me. A lot of good memories here at Pierce College."
Besides two undefeated 33-0 seasons for state championships in 2011 and 2012, Mardini has coached 13 Western State Conference champion teams. He has been to five state championship final matches as well, winning three.
Pierce, located in Woodland Hills, will be the host of this year's CCCAA State Championship Tournament to be held Dec. 3-4.
