Santiago Canyon makes move to No. 2 seat in CCCSIA Women's Soccer Poll; Cerritos still on top
RIVERSIDE - The top four teams in this week’s poll have yet to drop a contest this year following week two of action on the pitch. Cerritos continues to be a staple at the top, but a trio of team are nipping at their heels.
Cerritos earned the top spot after defeating Fresno City, 2-1, on Friday. Fresno City dropped four spots to fifth-overall after the loss.
Santiago Canyon moves up one spot to second overall. They have outscored their opponents 12-0 over the past three games leading to a 3-0 start. Sierra and San Joaquin Delta represent the North as they each bump up one spot to third and fourth overall, respectively.
Santa Monica carts an undefeated record and moves up three spots after sizable wins over Long Beach and MiraCosta last week. Cuesta shot up in the rankings from T-14th to 10th overall after picking up two wins and sitting atop the Western State Northern Division.
No. 16 Saddleback, No. T16 Chaffey, and No. T20 Modesto are the latest additions to the rankings.
