Canyons Finishes Fourth In SoCal Regional

Kaylie Sadlon had a 36-hole total of 165 and Ashley Windsor posted a 169 for the College of the Canyons women's golf team, which finished fourth Monday at the Southern California regional championships with a two-round total of 675.

Santa Barbara City College (624) and Fullerton (639) advanced to the state final next Monday and Tuesday at Tracy Golf and Country Club.

COC shot 328 on Monday, a 19-stroke improvement from Sunday's round, but couldn't make up enough ground to advance.

Mt. San Jacinto's Iris Chung shot a 3-over 147 to win the title. Glendale's Sarah Soderberg shot 167.
