SAN MARCOS (1-28-2015) -- Palomar, the state's sixth-ranked community college women's basketball team, continues to pillage through its Pacific Coast Athletic Conference schedule.
Wednesday night's victim was San Diego Mesa as the Comets (18-2, 7-0) continued to rotate their entire roster in and out of the game on the way to an 80-38 victory.
After 76-68 and 80-68 victories to open the PCAC season, Palomar's last five conference wins have come by scores of 85-48, 74-55, 84-44, 83-48 and 80-38.
Tessa Balcom (left, 13 points), Jessica Scott (right, 13), Keisha Cox (10) and Ashleigh Barnes (10) led the Comets' balanced attack by scoring in double figures. Melissa Allen and Mikaela Shannon each added 8 points. Palomar led 42-18 at the half.
