New number one, same top 20 in week four State Softball poll

LOS ANGELES, Calif – El Camino College captures the top spot in this week's California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association Poll.

The Warriors swipe the crown from Cerritos, who held the No. 1 ranking for the past two weeks. Both teams have yet to lose this season. Another undefeated team, the No. 2 West Valley Vikings are 13-0 on the season, sweeping No. 20 Cosumnes River in a doubleheader on February 18 with a pair of extra-inning wins. The Vikings nabbed both Player and Pitcher of the Week honors in Tyla Arbuckle and Anastasia Marquez, Monday.

Sticking with the theme another bunch of Vikings made a leap in the standings. No. 7 Long Beach City makes its way into the top-10 for the first time in 2025. After opening the season with a loss, the Vikings have notched eight-straight victories en route to the top spot in the South Coast Conference.

All 20 teams from last week, February 11's, poll remain in the state rankings. It's the first time that's happened this season.
