Robinson and McAdams earn Player of the Week honors for Week 8
GLENDORA - Lauren Robinson of College of the Desert and Emily McAdams of College of San Mateo were named the Week #8 California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association Player and Pitcher of the Week. Robinson, who is currently third in the entire State in batting average, was the high point in a 1-2 week for the Roadrunners, while McAdams, the State leader in wins, powered the Bulldogs to a 3-0 week.

Freshman corner infielder Lauren Robinson has been a revelation for the Roadrunners of College of the Desert in 2019. Robinson is third in the State and first in Southern California in batting average with a .551 mark. For Week #8 Robinson displayed her hitting skills, by going 5-for-8 with a trio of runs scored. She added 8 RBIs, hitting three doubles and a home run. Robinson prepped at La Quinta High School in La Quinta, CA.
Emily McAdams | College of San Mateo | Sophomore | Pitcher
Sophomore hurler Emily McAdams has been the ace for the one of the top teams in the State in 2019. She currently ranked first in wins, and is second in ERA in the State. During Week #8 of competition, McAdams went 3-0, scattering six hits, three walks, and no runs over 14 innings of work. In that span McAdams struck out 21 batters. McAdams prepped at Sequoia High School in Redwood City, CA.
