Palomar and Solano are home to Week #9 3CFCA Pitcher and Player of the Week
GLENDORA - Palomar College’s Allie Hughen and Solano College’s Aleya Turner were named the Week #9 California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association Pitcher and Player of the Week. Hughen had a big week for the Comets helping Palomar to a pair of wins over State #1 Cypress College, while Turner kept grinding at the plate for the leaders in the Bay Valley Conference in Solano College.

The State’s leader in ERA, had a huge week in the circle for Palomar College. Sophomore Allie Hughen went 2-0 and posted a save. On the week, Hughen spent 10 and two-thirds innings in the circle for Palomar, scattering eight hits, three walks, and a run in that span. Hughen also struck out 15 total batters, as she earned a win and a save in Palomar’s big double-header with Cypress College. Hughen prepped at Rancho Buena Vista High School in Vista, CA.
Aleya Turner | Solano College | Sophomore | Shortstop
Sophomore shortstop Aleya Turner of Solano College continued her hot hitting as the Falcons went 2-2 in Week #9. At the dish, Turner was 8-for-16 with four runs and five RBIs. Turner hit three doubles, and stole two bases in her offensive efforts for the week. Turner prepped at Vacaville High School in Vacaville, CA.
