San Joaquin Delta takes 30-4 mark into No. 2 spot in 3CFCA poll
GLENDORA, Calif. - Cypress College continued its strong position on top of the both the Southern California and State Polls thanks to its perfect 34-0 record. San Joaquin Delta, which had been knocking on College of San Mateo's door the last few polls, finally jumped in front, as the Mustangs (30-4) took the No. 2 spot in the State and No. 1 spot in the north.
Mt. San Antonio College rose one spot in the state rankings from No. 4 to No. 3, keeping its same No. 2 position in the south. College of San Mateo fell to No. 2 in the north and No. 4 in the state, while Sierra College and El Camino College retained their No. 3 rankings in their respective regions while also becoming tied the for the No. 5 spot in the state poll.
Foothill College, arguably the best story in CCCAA Softball this year, rose seven spots to No. 7 in the State. The Owls, who were unable to field a team in 2016, are 26-6 and check in at No. 4 in the North. Antelope Valley College, meanwhile continued to rise in the south. The Marauders, home to the second-longest winning streak in the state, are No. 5 in the South and No. 10 in the state.
