Riverside's Chad Ponciano Claims The SoCal Decathlon Title

The Southern CA Heptathlon/Decathlon regional championships concluded on Wednesday at Cerritos College. Cerritos' own Juanita Webster took the gold in the Heptathlon with a total of 5091 points. In second was fellow Falcon, Lillian Ebanks (5031) with Riverside's Karla Alatore (4043) rounding out the top three.

In the Decathlon, Riverside's Chad Ponciano claimed the regional title with 6111 points. Placing second overall was Cuesta's Aaron Cheeks (5824) and Moorpark's Elisha Edwards (5766) in third.
