Khallifah Rosser of Chaffey College shines at track meet
Sophomore Khallifah Rosser of Chaffey College was the top finisher at the California Community College Athletic Association State Track meet, repeating as champion in the 400 meter hurdles (50.82) on Saturday at Mt. SAC.
He wasn't the only standout for the Panthers as Fabian Griffith placed fifth in both the 100 and 200 meters with times of 10.47 and 21.32 respectively.
On the women's side, Miller High School grad Rachel McCoy was second in the high jump with a best of 5 feet, 8 and three-quarter inches.
For San Bernardino Valley College, freshman Anamacio Cardenas (Bloomington HS) was fourth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase (9:36.33) with sophomore Ahmed Abdul-Rahman fourth in discus (171-10). Sophomnore Darrian Frazier (Citrus Valley) was sixth in triple jump (47-11).
Mt. SAC tallied 88 points to win the women's team title. Cerritos was second (75) and Riverside third (73).
Riverside won the men's competition (111), followed by Sacramento American River (83). Chaffey was 17th (18).
