COD Men’s Tennis rolls in 4th clean sweep of the season, punishing the Arabs, 9-0

COD(6-0; 6-0) barely broke a sweat in their fourth clean sweep in six matches as they overwhelmed the Imperial Valley Arabs (0-6; 0-4), 9-0.

In doubles play, the team of freshman Manfred Vogt (Mexico City (MX) Universidad Panamerican Preparatoria) and freshman Alex Kuperstein (Palm Desert H.S.) had the hardest time of the three doubles matches, but won convincingly, 7-2. The team of freshman Syed Hosain (Abu Dhabi (UAE) GEMS American Academy) and freshman Saar Rogovski (Rosh HaAyin (ISR) Menachem Begin) won easily, 8-0. Completing the sweep of the Arabs in doubles play for Desert, the team of freshman Andrew Limon (Indio Shadow Hills) and freshman Nicolas Garcia (Palm Desert H.S.) where they also won easily, 8-0.

In singles play, Kuperstein easily won in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-0 and Vogt overwhelmed his opponent, winning 6-0 and 6-0. Rogovski swept his way to victory, winning, 6-0 and 6-0 and Hosain easily won in straight sets, 6-0 and 6-0. Garcia breezed in his match 6-0 and 6-0 and Limon swept as the number six, winning 6-0 and 6-0.

The next match for College of the Desert Men's Tennis will be at San Diego City College on March 14th at 2p, where they will continue Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (PCAC) by traveling to America's Finest City, San Diego.

College of the Desert defeated Imperial Valley College, 9-0 in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play at College of the Desert in Palm Desert.
