Greene swims to 2nd for MC
April 26, 2013
LOS ANGELES — Connor Greene just missed out on breaking his second record in as many days.
The Merced College sophomore will have to content himself with second in the 100-yard breaststroke on Friday at the 2013 CCCAA State Swimming & Diving Championships.
Greene broke the school record with a 56.83 at last week's Bay Valley Conference championships. He was just off that pace with a 57.31 on Friday, finishing second to Modesto's Tim Richard. Luke Baum was ninth in a 58.58.
The MC duo joined Ryan Randall and Kolby Ellett to place 10th in the 200 medley relay as the Blue Devils turned in another solid day.
The three-day state meet concludes today.
