Mt. San Antonio takes over top spot in CCCSIA Men's Soccer Poll as teams shift but remain steady
RIVERSIDE - With the majority of the same teams making up the top-20, all but one team hold new positions in this week’s California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) poll. Mt. San Antonio takes the top spot by overcoming Cerritos, while Fresno City leaps into the top three.
Mt. San Antonio hops into conference play after winning nine consecutive games against community college teams. They recently handed No. 15 San Bernardino a loss by the final score of 4-1. They defeated No. 5 Oxnard a week prior.
Cerritos falls from the top spot and lands second overall despite winning six of their last seven games. No. 3 Fresno breaking into the top three after riding a four-game winning streak after starting conference play with two wins.
No. 7 Butte makes the largest leap in the poll as they pace the Golden Valley Conference (GVC) following three wins. No. 4 El Camino pushes into the top five, while No. 17 Modesto drops eight spots after dropping their first three conference contests.
New additions to the poll include No. 18 Canada and No. 20 Foothill.
