Cerritos holds top spot for second straight week in CCCSIA poll, Folsom Lake climbs ladder to No. 2
RIVERSIDE - The Cerritos College Falcons continue to be deemed the strongest team in the state according to the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) week four poll. Folsom Lake shot up two spots two second overall after being one of three teams remaining in the top-20 to have not lost a single contest.
Cerritos is on a six-game winning streak after hauling in a victory against LA Harbor in their conference opener. Folsom Lake has won each contest in September with the exception of a tie with Cosumnes River last Friday. They earned their first conference win on Tuesday in a 3-0 win over Modesto.
No. 3 Fullerton and No. 4 Taft remain in the top five, while Santa Barbara drops out of the top five and currently sits sixth overall. Norco took a tumble to 14th overall after ranking in the top-10 last week. Evergreen Valley is the newest edition to the top-20 after coming in at 10th overall.
