CCSF's Delon Wright Selected In First Round Of NBA Draft
Former City College of San Franciisco standout, Delon Wright, was selected with the 20th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors. The 6'6" guard played for CCSF during the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons where he was dominate from the start. Wright did a little of everything with the Rams, leading the State in steals his sophomore season (4 steals per game) and finding himself on the leaderboard in just about every other major stat category with 16.7ppg, 7rpg, 4.5apg, and 2bpg. He earned All-Coast North Conference and All-State honors both years in the CCCAA, as well as being named a conferencem MVP. His Sophomore year he took his team to the State championship tournament where they went in with a perfect 31-0 record but fell in the semifinals.
From CCSF Wright transferred to Utah where he was an All-PAC-12 selection both seasons and a second-team All-America choice as a senior averaging 14.5ppg, 4.8rpg and 5.1apg. He led the Utes to the Sweet 16 last season.
Wright is the younger brother of veteran forward Dorell Wright.
