El Camino sends baseball and football standouts to Tennessee and Prairie View A&M
Aguiar Commits to Tennessee
TORRANCE - El Camino College right-handed pitcher Julian Aguiar has committed to the University of Tennessee to continue his education and athletic career.
The Long Beach, Calif. native was perfect on the mound for the Warriors in 2020, going 5-0 after making seven starts. He also tallied one save.
Aguiar appeared in eight total games and pitched in 47 and 1/3 innings during the season and posted a 2.47 ERA. He struck out more batters (44) than he allowed hits (43) while averaging 8.37 strikeouts per nine innings.
Aguiar will be joining a Tennessee squad that was 15-2 overall when the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Volunteers had scored victories over two teams ranked in the top 25 including a win over No. 1 Texas Tech.
The Warriors went 16-6 overall and 10-1 in conference play when the season was cancelled.
Graham Headed to Prairie View A&M
TORRANCE - El Camino College running back Raymond Graham will be continuing his education and athletic career at Prairie View A&M.
The sophomore from Lakewood, Calif. played two years for the Warriors and appeared in 14 games during his time at ECC. He rushed for 585 career yards and scored three touchdowns.
Graham was a two-time National Division-Central League Second Team selection. Off the field, Graham was a co-creator of The Making Change Foundation, a non-profit organization, with the goal of "changing the world in ways that are beyond imagination."
