Aaron Rodgers gives shoutout to Butte Community College

We don't remember it now that Aaron Rodgers is a three-time Pro Bowler, former NFL MVP, and superstar with State Farm ads, but he didn't pick up any scholarship offers out of college. His Division I options were walking on at Illinois or... well... nothing. And so he went to Butte Community College, where his team went 10-1 and earned him a look from Cal coach Jeff Tedford.
He reminded us of that Thursday night in the NFL season opener: Click here for Video
He's actually been doing this for a while, but I think we all just noticed it simultaneously.

Now a Super Bowl and league MVP, Rodgers gave props to the school where it all started, Butte Community College, during player introductions. Rodgers attended the two-year institution before transferring to play for the California Golden Bears.
Following the shout-out, Butte Community College actually started trending on Twitter. ESPN's Darren Rovell tweeted a picture of Rodgers when he was the pride of the Roadrunners.
