MARAUDER STRUGGLES IN LOSS TO MOORPAK

LANCASTER - Despite two hits each from Michael Behen, Timothy Dodd and Clayton Rabiej, the Marauder baseball team trailed early and lost the season opener to Moorpark College, 10-3, Wednesday afternoon.
Moorpark College jumped out to an early 7-0 lead after 2 1/2 innings before AVC, which stranded nine base runners, got on the scoreboard with a run in the bottom of the third inning.
Despite an impressive afternoon at the plate, Rabiej struggled on the mound as the AVC starter pitched five innings allowing seven earned runs on nine hits.
Moorpark College pounded out 15 hits including four each by Terrell Terrell, Austin Fields and Zak Daniels. Daniels and Terrell finished with three and two RBI, respectively. Jake Eaton had a strong outing for Moorpark College as he pitched six innings, allowing only two runs and staggered eight hits.
