Women's Soccer Shuts Out De Anza

Recording an amazing 31 shots on goal, the Reedley College women's soccer team improved to 3-2 in 2019 with a 4-0 victory over DeAnza College in Cupertino on Sept. 17.

Sabrina Cabrera scored two goals, one in each half, to lead Coach Onesta Francis' squad.

Kalese Sunamoto opened the scoring at the 10-minute mark on an assist from Dennise Garcia. Cabrera scored her first goal at the 25-minute mark on an assist from Destiny Gonzalez.

Cabrera found the net again in the 62nd minute on a pass from Acyri Ambriz. Gonzalez closed out the scoring in the 80th minute on an assist from Sunamoto.

Goalie Lucy Chavez was credited with two saves, both in the first half.

Reedley returns to action at 5 pm Friday, hosting Compton in the Lady Tigers' third home match of the season.
