W. WATER POLO: BACK IN THE SADDLE

After a very long break from the pool, the 2019 state champs did not miss a beat going undefeated this past weekend at the Orange Coast College Tournament.

FC claimed the OCC tournament title defeating five straight teams in Long Beach City 9-7, Riverside City 19-9, Orange Coast 13-10, Mount San Antonio 10-5, and Citrus 14-6.

Neida Torres led the way for FC with 12 total goals and 5 steals. Adrianna Wong followed with 11 goals and 8 steals. Julissa Velazquez contributed 7 goals and Maggie Moreno had 6. There were four Hornets that scored 5 goals each in Amanda Ellerbroek, Emily Jack, Charley Jackson, and Jordyn Lughart.

Winning the 2021 OCC Tournament marks the 3rd consecutive season that Fullerton has won an opening-weekend tournament.

Up Next: The Hornets (5-0 overall) will bring it back home on Wednesday, September 15th when they host Riverside City College for a Orange Empire Conference showdown. Game time is at 4:00 pm.
