TORRANCE, Calif. – In their first game in the new El Camino College Gym Complex, the women's basketball fell to visiting Glendale 61-47 Wednesday night in a non-conference matchup.

Jessie Hoffsmith led the Warriors (1-5) with 13 points and added eight rebounds, three steals and two assists while Alexia Mason added 11 points and 10 rebounds with three assists.

Tess Oakley-Stilson led the Vaqueros with 14 points with Gloria Bianchi added 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Warriors trailed by only two points after the first quarter as both teams hit six shots from the field and two 3-pointers.

But the next two quarters proved costly as the Warriors offense went cold, shooting a combined 6-for-28 in the middle periods to fall behind by 13 points and they could not recover.

Wednesday's game marked the grand opening of the new ECC Gym Complex where the Warriors will play the remainder of the season.
