KNIGHTS LOSE AT HOME TO CUESTA 66-64

Knights lose at home to Cuesta 66-64

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's men's basketball team lost 66-64 at home to Cuesta College.

The Knights trailed by three at half and outscored Cuesta 29-28 in the second half but couldn't get the victory.

Cuesta hit 10-of-24 (42 percent) from 3-point range compared to Shasta's 6-of-27 (22 percent) and the Knights were 6-of-12 from the free throw line.

Zach Thompson led Shasta with 18 points while Brendan Hoag scored 12 points off the bench and tied a team-high four rebounds with freshman Khristian Clements (seven points). Michael Plunkitt scored eight points to go with three assists, Tanner Bidwell scored seven points and dished three assists and Simmer Singh and Derek Gorden scored six points apiece.

Shasta falls to 9-7 overall on the season and 1-1 at home
