After receiving strong play from all five flights, the MiraCosta women's beach volleyball team earned two wins on the final Friday of conference play.  With the wins, the Spartans secure second place in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, and are likely to receive a bid to the CCCAA state playoffs.

In their first match of the day MiraCosta got redemption after winning a close 3-2 result over Grossmont College. Wins from Aria Barker/Paola Peralta, Savannah So'oto/Jackie Gracey, and Makayla Hicks/Summer Hoslett locked up the three flights necessary for the victory.  An emotional third game win by Barker and Peralta locked in the win.  With just one point to go in the third game Aria Barker went down with an ankle injury.  After an injury timeout to tape the ankle, the Spartan 2's team found a way to score one more point to defeat the Griffins.

In the second match of the day the Spartans took on a scrappy San Diego City College team.  Similar to the first match, MiraCosta did just enough to earn the 3-2 win.  Wins from Aria Barker/Paola Peralta, Makayla Hicks/Summer Hoslett, and Aliah Cortez and Lexi Morgan earned the Spartans their second victory of the day.  Barker managed to play two quick games on a bad ankle. Hicks and Hoslett were dominant in the 4's flight, winning easily in two games.  Finally, Cortez and Morgan found a way to be the heros two weeks in a row.  They won in two, by score of 21-11, 22-20.
