Falcons can't hold off Diablo Valley

In a season of many close losses, the Falcons suffered perhaps their most heartbreaking loss on Tuesday night when they fell to visiting Diablo Valley, 68-66.  The Falcons began the game with a 9-0 run and led throughout, though the Vikings were always within striking distance.  The Vikings did not take the lead until the final 1:04, when they went ahead by one point.  In the final minute, the Falcons had three good looks at shots that could have won the game, but the ball would not drop through the net.  Everett Campbell led the Falcons with 16 points, followed by Grant Bellis with 15 and Jaylen Solich with 13.

The Falcons (5-18 overall, 2-9 in Big 8) will play at Cosumnes River (8-15 overall, 2-9 in Big 8) on Friday at 5:30.
