M. SOCCER: WALK THE BLANK

After a heartbreaking 4-2 loss against Santa Ana College last Friday, Fullerton got back in the win column at Orange Coast Tuesday blanking the Pirates 4-0.

It was the first Orange Empire Conference win of the season for FC (1-2 OEC, 7-4-1 overall), while Orange Coast remains winless in the OEC at 0-1 (4-3-2 overall). 

The Hornets drew first blood early in the 16th minute on a shot by Joseph Espinoza. The assists came from Ryan Meinardus.

FC scored early in the second half (52nd minute) when Ryan Meinardus got in on the action with an assist by Steve Perez.

Tanner Coombs drilled a shot past the Pirate's goalie on an assist by Cesar Zamora in the 62nd minute.

Nima Ahmari sealed the game when he took a pass from Jose Luis Ruelas Jr. for the score in the 85th minute.

FC goalkeeper Andre Ramirez had 2 saves in 72 minutes and Allen Lopez covered the rest for the final 18 minutes. Today's win marks the 7th shutout of the season for Fullerton.

Up Next: The Hornets (7-4-1 overall, 1-2 OEC) will host Irvine Valley College this Friday, October 8th. Game time is at 3:00 pm.
